316 / 316L Stainless Steel Coil

Stellanox Steel supplies high-quality 316 / 316L Stainless Steel Coils, known for their enhanced corrosion resistance, especially in marine and chloride-rich environments. These molybdenum-bearing stainless coils are widely used in industries such as chemical processing, marine, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, and architectural design, where superior corrosion and pitting resistance are essential.

Available in hot-rolled and cold-rolled forms with multiple finish options, 316/316L coils are ideal for applications that demand reliability, formability, and hygiene.

What is 316 / 316L Stainless Steel Coil?

316 Stainless Steel Coils are austenitic stainless steel products containing 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum. The addition of molybdenum significantly enhances resistance to chlorides, acids, and pitting corrosion. The 316L variant features a lower carbon content (≤0.03%), improving weldability and resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding or high-temperature exposure.

These coils are available in slit, annealed, polished, and custom finishes and are essential in sanitary, corrosive, and high-temperature environments.
