430 Stainless Steel Sheet

Premium 430 stainless steel sheets from Stellanox Steel are designed to give superior corrosion resistance, high formability, and an affordable substitute for austenitic grades. 430 is a ferritic stainless steel that is magnetic, nickel-free, and frequently used in applications that require moderate corrosion protection and aesthetics, like architectural trim, exhaust systems, and kitchen appliances.

What is 430 Stainless Steel Sheet?

With a chromium concentration of roughly 16–18%, 430 stainless steel sheet is a ferritic chromium alloy. Particularly in slightly hostile situations, it is renowned for its excellent formability, oxidation resistance, and corrosion resistance. Because 430 is magnetic and free of nickel, it is a more cost-effective choice for applications that don’t require high corrosion or chemical resistance than austenitic grades like 304 and 316.

Due to its superior finish, attractive appearance, and respectable performance, this grade is frequently used in applications such as interior car interiors, decorative trims, flanges, and indoor appliances.

Key Features of 430 Stainless Steel Sheet

  • Economical: It is more cost-effective than 304 or 316 due to its nickel-free composition.
  • Magnetic Properties: Perfect for cladding and kitchen appliances that work with induction.
  • Moderate Corrosion Resistance: Effective in slightly corrosive interior conditions.
    Superior Surface
  • Finish: Mirror, 2B, and BA finishes are available for ornamental purposes.
  • Good Formability: Under mild stress, it may be bent, rolled, and moulded without breaking.
  • Oxidation Resistance: In dry conditions, withstands high temperatures.
Safe for Food: For many food-grade applications, it is non-reactive.
