Duplex Stainless Steel Sheet

At Stellanox Steel, we manufacture and supply high-strength Duplex Stainless Steel Round Bars engineered for superior corrosion resistance, exceptional mechanical strength, and outstanding performance across demanding applications.

Our duplex round bars are the material of choice in industries like offshore oil & gas, chemical processing, marine structures, energy generation, and heavy engineering — wherever strength, durability, and corrosion resistance are critical.

What are Duplex Stainless Steel Round Bars?

Duplex Stainless Steel Round Bars are solid cylindrical bars made from duplex-grade alloys, featuring a 50/50 austenitic-ferritic microstructure.

This combination gives duplex round bars approximately twice the strength of austenitic stainless steels like 304/316, alongside excellent resistance to chloride-induced corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and erosion.

With their strength and corrosion resistance, duplex bars are used in the manufacture of shafts, fasteners, pump components, structural supports, and machined parts exposed to harsh environments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Explore our FAQs for insights on materials, customization, and delivery.
How are duplex stainless steel round bars better than 316 stainless steel bars?

Duplex bars offer twice the strength and much better resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking compared to 316 stainless steel.

Are duplex round bars suitable for offshore structures?

Yes. Due to their outstanding resistance to seawater corrosion and high mechanical strength, they are widely used in offshore and marine applications.

Can duplex round bars be machined easily?

Yes, duplex bars are machinable, though tool selection and cutting speeds must be carefully optimized due to their high strength.

What surface finishes are available for duplex stainless steel round bars?

We offer hot-rolled, cold-drawn, peeled, polished, and centerless ground finishes depending on application requirements.
