Weld Neck Flanges

Stellanox Steel manufactures and supplies premium-grade Weld Neck Flanges designed for high-pressure, high-temperature, and critical-service piping systems. Precision-engineered from materials like Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Alloy Steel, Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy, Titanium, and Nickel Alloys, our weld neck flanges offer leak-proof integrity, smooth stress distribution, and superior weldability.

Conforming to international standards such as ASME B16.5, B16.47, EN 1092-1, and DIN, our weld neck flanges are trusted in oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, chemical processing, and offshore platforms.

What are Weld Neck Flanges?

Weld Neck Flanges (WN Flanges) are long-tapered hub flanges designed to be butt-welded to a pipe, ensuring smooth transition and excellent stress distribution in high-stress, vibration-prone or fluctuating temperature systems. The tapered hub strengthens the connection and minimizes concentration of pressure, making them ideal for critical fluid handling systems.

These flanges are typically used in applications where reliability and performance are essential, especially in long-term service under extreme conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Explore our FAQs for insights on materials, customization, and delivery.
What is the difference between a weld neck flange and a slip-on flange?
A weld neck flange has a tapered hub and is butt-welded to the pipe, offering better stress distribution and is suitable for high-pressure systems. Slip-on flanges are easier to install but less robust under stress.
Are weld neck flanges suitable for underground piping?
Yes. Their strength and weld integrity make them ideal for underground or submerged pipeline systems.
Can weld neck flanges be used in corrosive environments?
Absolutely. When made from suitable materials like Inconel, Monel, or Hastelloy, they provide excellent corrosion resistance.
Do you provide flanges with NACE compliance?
Yes. All our flanges can be supplied with NACE MR0175/MR0103 certification for sour service environments.
