Blind Flanges

Stellanox Steel manufactures and supplies robust, high-integrity Blind Flanges used to close the end of piping systems or nozzles. Crafted from high-performance materials including Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Alloy Steel, Monel, Inconel, Hastelloy, Nickel, Copper Alloys, and Titanium, our blind flanges are engineered to handle high-pressure, high-temperature, and corrosive media in industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, chemical processing, and marine.

Available in raised face (RF), ring type joint (RTJ), and flat face (FF) configurations, our blind flanges conform to ASME B16.5, B16.47, EN 1092-1, DIN, ISO, and other international standards.

What are Blind Flanges?

Blind Flanges are solid discs used to block off or seal the end of a piping system, vessel opening, or nozzle. They are often bolted onto another flange and can be removed for easy access to the system for inspection, maintenance, pressure testing, or future expansion. Blind flanges are critical where leak-tight isolation and system reliability are paramount.

They are commonly used in dead-end service and hydrostatic testing of pipelines or pressure vessels.

Frequently Asked Questions

Explore our FAQs for insights on materials, customization, and delivery.
When should blind flanges be used?
Blind flanges are used when a pipeline or system needs to be closed off completely. They are ideal for system isolation, hydrotesting, or future expansion.
What’s the difference between blind and weld neck flanges?
A weld neck flange connects two pipe sections, while a blind flange terminates the pipe end with a seal.
Can blind flanges be pressure tested?
Yes. Blind flanges are designed to withstand hydrostatic and pneumatic test pressures without leakage.
Are blind flanges reusable?
Yes. With proper handling, blind flanges can be removed and reused during system servicing or reconfiguration.
