Hastelloy Tube

Premium-grade Hastelloy tubes from Stellanox Steel are designed for demanding applications in harsh chemical, marine, power generation, and high-temperature settings. These tubes are renowned for their exceptional mechanical strength under heat and pressure, as well as their resistance to corrosion and thermal stability.

Our seamless and welded Hastelloy tubes are available in various grades, including Hastelloy C276, C22, B2, and G30. They can be customized in size to fit project requirements in various sectors.

What are Hastelloy Tubes?

Hastelloy tubes are hollow, cylindrical parts composed of alloys based on nickel that are excellent at fending off oxidation, pitting, acid attack, and corrosion in both reducing and oxidising environments. Heat exchangers, condenser coils, evaporators, boiler tubing, and fluid transport systems in extremely corrosive conditions are among the many applications for these tubes.

When stainless steel and other alloys fail in operations involving sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid, ferric and cupric chlorides, and chlorine dioxide, they are crucial.

Frequently Asked Questions

Explore our FAQs for insights on materials, customization, and delivery.
What is the difference between Hastelloy tubes and pipes?
Tubes are specified by outside diameter and wall thickness and are used for structural and process applications. Pipes are specified by nominal bore and schedule, typically for fluid transport.
Can Hastelloy tubes be bent and coiled?
Yes. Grades like C276 and C22 are highly ductile and can be coiled or bent for condensers, evaporators, and custom assemblies.
Are Hastelloy tubes suitable for heat exchanger systems?
Absolutely. Their corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity make them ideal for heat exchangers handling corrosive fluids.
Are Hastelloy tubes resistant to seawater?
Yes. Hastelloy offers excellent resistance to seawater, especially in stagnant and high-temperature conditions where stainless steel fails.
