Nickel Tube

Stellanox Steel offers precision-engineered Nickel Tubes made from high-purity grades such as Nickel 200 (UNS N02200) and Nickel 201 (UNS N02201). Known for their exceptional resistance to acids, alkalis, and high-temperature oxidation, our nickel tubes are widely used in chemical processing, heat exchanger systems, marine equipment, nuclear reactors, and instrumentation lines.

Available in both seamless and welded forms, with tight tolerances and mill or polished finishes, our tubes are manufactured to international standards including ASTM B161, B163, B622, and EN 10216-5.

What are Nickel Tubes?

Nickel Tubes are hollow cylindrical sections of commercially pure nickel used for conveying fluids, gases, or heat in harsh environments. They are preferred in applications requiring magnetism stability, low electrical resistance, and strong corrosion resistance. These tubes are highly workable and can be bent, flared, or coiled without cracking, making them suitable for precision instruments, condensers, and heat transfer systems.

Nickel 200 is widely used for general corrosion resistance, while Nickel 201 is ideal for high-temperature or welded applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

Explore our FAQs for insights on materials, customization, and delivery.
What’s the difference between Nickel 200 and Nickel 201 tubing?
Nickel 201 has lower carbon, offering better resistance to graphitization in high-temp and welded applications.
Can nickel tubes be used in high-pressure applications?
Yes. Seamless nickel tubes with adequate wall thickness are suited for high-pressure systems including heat exchangers and superheaters.
Is nickel tubing magnetic?
Yes. Pure nickel is ferromagnetic, useful for applications involving magnetic responsiveness or shielding.
Can these tubes be welded?
Absolutely. Nickel tubes are easily weldable using standard TIG, MIG, and plasma arc methods.
