316 / 316L Stainless Steel Round Bar

Stellanox Steel delivers corrosion-resistant and high-performance 316 / 316L Stainless Steel Round Bars, ideal for use in marine, chemical, food processing, and pharmaceutical environments. Known for their molybdenum-enhanced composition, these bars offer superior resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and acidic solutions, making them ideal for harsh and chloride-rich conditions.

316 / 316L round bars are offered in polished, bright drawn, or black finish with a wide range of diameters to suit everything from structural fabrication to precision machining.

What is 316 / 316L Stainless Steel Round Bar?

316 / 316L Stainless Steel Round Bar is an austenitic stainless steel alloy containing chromium, nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum. The molybdenum content significantly enhances corrosion resistance, especially against chlorides, saltwater, and chemicals. The “L” version has a lower carbon content, which reduces the risk of carbide precipitation during welding and increases resistance to intergranular corrosion.

This grade is widely used in load-bearing, welded, and sanitary applications where strength and cleanliness are required.
