What are Lap Joint Flanges?
Lap Joint Flanges are two-piece components consisting of a loose backing flange and a butt-welded stub end. The flange rotates freely around the stub end, making it ideal for applications requiring frequent disassembly, alignment, or cleaning. Since the flange doesn’t come into contact with the fluid directly, it can be made from less expensive material while using a corrosion-resistant stub end.
These flanges are often used in systems with space constraints, corrosive fluids, or non-aligned connections.
