Nickel Plate

Stellanox Steel supplies premium-quality Nickel Plates engineered for exceptional resistance to chemical corrosion, oxidation, and extreme heat. Fabricated using high-purity Nickel 200 (UNS N02200) and Nickel 201 (UNS N02201), our plates are widely used in chemical processing, electronics, marine systems, power generation, and battery manufacturing.

Available in a wide range of thicknesses, tempers, and surface finishes, our nickel plates are produced to ASTM, ASME, DIN, and ISO specifications and meet the stringent demands of nuclear, aerospace, and high-performance manufacturing environments.

What are Nickel Plates?

Nickel Plates are thick, flat sheets made from pure nickel with ≥99% purity, offering outstanding mechanical strength, thermal conductivity, and corrosion resistance. They are ideal for environments where aggressive chemicals, high pressures, and intense heat are constant—such as alkali handling, caustic environments, and heat exchanger systems.

Nickel 200 is preferred for its versatility, while Nickel 201 is selected when low carbon content is critical to reduce embrittlement in high-temperature service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Explore our FAQs for insights on materials, customization, and delivery.
How is Nickel 201 plate different from Nickel 200?
Nickel 201 has lower carbon, which makes it suitable for high-temperature and welded applications with reduced risk of embrittlement.
Can nickel plates be used in saltwater environments?
Yes. Pure nickel resists chloride-induced corrosion and is used in marine condensers and desalination systems.
Are nickel plates magnetic?
Yes. Pure nickel is ferromagnetic and used in applications requiring magnetic response or shielding.
Is nickel plate safe for food and medical use?
Absolutely. Its inert nature and corrosion resistance make it suitable for non-reactive containers and sterile environments.
