Nickel Wire

Stellanox Steel supplies high-purity Nickel Wire that delivers exceptional corrosion resistance, mechanical strength, and thermal/electrical conductivity. Manufactured from premium grades such as Nickel 200 (UNS N02200) and Nickel 201 (UNS N02201), our wires are widely used in electronics, battery systems, welding, aerospace, chemical processing, resistance heating, and marine industries.

Available in bare, annealed, hard-drawn, stranded, coiled, and spooled formats, our nickel wires meet stringent ASTM, ISO, DIN, and EN standards for high-performance applications.

What are Nickel Wires?

Nickel Wire is a thin, flexible metallic conductor made of commercially pure nickel used for high-temperature and high-corrosion environments. Thanks to its magnetic properties, excellent ductility, and stable resistance, nickel wire is ideal for use in heating elements, resistance wire, shielding, battery welding, thermocouples, and electromagnetic shielding applications.

Nickel 200 offers high conductivity and corrosion resistance, while Nickel 201—with its lower carbon content—is used for high-temperature service or welded assemblies.

Frequently Asked Questions

Explore our FAQs for insights on materials, customization, and delivery.
What is the difference between hard-drawn and annealed nickel wire?
Hard-drawn wire is stronger but less flexible, ideal for static use. Annealed wire is softer and suitable for bending, forming, or welding.
Can nickel wire be used in battery production?
Yes. Nickel wire is commonly used in battery terminals, cell interconnects, and spot-welding applications due to its conductivity and corrosion resistance.
Is nickel wire suitable for marine environments?
Absolutely. It resists seawater corrosion, making it ideal for marine mesh, wiring, and structural components.
Do you supply custom coil sizes or packaging?
Yes. We offer nickel wires in custom diameters, lengths, spool types, and protective packaging formats.
